telc Deutsch B1/B2 Pflege
Are you planning to work in the nursing sector in Germany? Our German course in person or online supports you in learning specialist German skills.
With our state-funded German courses in the special module “Health Care Professions” you can prepare professionally and effectively for the language test required for your professional recognition. If you want to have your completed training in a healthcare profession recognized in Germany or if you are currently completing training for a healthcare profession abroad and then want to work in Germany, then this course is just right for you.
This course takes place as face-to-face lessons on site or as an online language course via video conference (virtual classroom).
Conditions of Participation
- You have a certificate of general or specialist knowledge of German at language level B1
- You have submitted or would like to submit an application for recognition or testing of your knowledge in nursing, geriatric care, health care, pediatric nursing or maternity care to the relevant authorities
- You have completed training or studies in nursing and health care, geriatric care, pediatric nursing or maternity care in your home country
- You already work as a nursing assistant or assistant in a healthcare profession
- You would like to work as a nurse, geriatric nurse, health nurse, pediatric nurse or midwife in Germany after completing your training or studies abroad
Course Content
In small groups (6-12 participants), general and technical language skills in a medical context are taught. This course covers topics such as informal communication with patients and relatives (admission, advice, etc.) or specialist communication with colleagues and doctors (handover, prescriptions, reports, care planning and documentation, etc.).
The course ends with the “telc Deutsch B1/B2 Pflege” exam, a language test tailored to healthcare professions. As a participant in the language course, you will be intensively prepared for this. You can also take the exam with us, as we are also licensed as a telc exam center.

Extensive Curriculum
Our courses are based on a comprehensive curriculum which we have adapted over the years to meet the current challenges of the profession. We use specially developed teaching materials to ensure individual and targeted learning. The courses conclude with the prescribed language examination, for which you will be intensively prepared here.
Certified Language Lecturers
Our teaching is characterized by the fact that it is carried out by certified language lecturers in the field of German in healthcare. The colleagues have extensive knowledge of teaching medical terminology and some have already worked in the healthcare sector themselves.
Specialist Lecturers from the Field
In addition, we also use specialist lecturers from the field, i.e. nursing managers or nursing specialists with many years of professional experience, to supplement the teaching. Our specialist lecturers provide participants with authentic insights into the German way of working and prepare you intensively for the specialist language examination and the complex communicative requirements of everyday work in conversation simulations.
